How to Block Print a T-shirt

I started playing around with block printing and noticed there aren’t very many tutorials on how to block print on fabric like t-shirts so I made this tutorial. You can make some pretty cool t-shirts this way. In many ways block printing is easier than screen printing (I have a tutorial on that here) and gives a nice, vintage look. Here’s how I do it.

Tie Stain Removal

Stained tieI have this nice, red silk tie that I really like but one time while wearing it, I spilled pasta sauce on it. Unfortunately, I waited months to do anything about it. So sad… Silk ties are hard to clean because you can’t wash them or dry clean them. This is how I managed to get most of the stains out fairly easily (with video). Read on…

To fix the problem, I decided to use 5 minute quick set epoxy which cures quickly, is very strong, and bonds to just about any solid I’ve tried it on. Bike Tire Belt

Bike Tire BeltI needed a new belt and had an old bike tire laying around so I decided to turn that tire into a “new” belt.  All I needed was a an old bicycle tire, a box cutter, a rubber mallet, a punch set, a rivet set, a belt buckle, and some rivets.  The belt looks great, performs well, and ended up being very inexpensive.  Plus, reusing materials is always a good thing.  A win-win-win!  Read on…
